What do we do?
We provide useful resources to our members: There’s a calendar of events, a resource directory, a running list of job opportunities, and exhibition calls.
We are an arts organization committed to promoting textile arts and supporting artists across Los Angeles and Southern California. Our diverse membership encompasses artisans, exhibitors, students, gallery owners, philanthropists, socialites, benefactors, board members, grant writers, lecturers, artists-in-residence, and makers.
Our focus lies in spotlighting and elevating the local textile arts community, organizing unique programs and events, and offering valuable resources to our members.

For our first TALA Benefactor Spotlight, it’s only right that we tip our caps to TALA’s own Carrie Burckle!
Having recently taken full responsibility for the future of TALA—Carrie’s own career as an artist can be overshadowed by her innumerable contributions to the Textile Arts community in Los Angeles and beyond.
But make no mistake, Carrie’s art is no supporting act.

In addition to accessing our member resources, Benefactors get a 20% discount on select Textile Arts LA events.
